In order to provide a permanent place of worship in lieu of the leased space that had been serving the Church of Pentecost USA, Charlotte District, the church purchased approximately 3.5 acres of land on a main artery of the city in the south part of Charlotte. Clary Architects, Inc. was commissioned to prepare contract documents for the construction of a new church plant and worked closely with the church, its construction consultant and the general contractor to give the church maximum value for the available construction funds.
The footprint of the single story church was 5,956 square feet and consisted of a sanctuary seating 180 persons with altar call area, band and dancing space, a fellowship hall with adjoining food preparation area and various classrooms and offices to serve a congregation of approximately 250 persons.
The construction contract was signed with Metrolina Builders of Charlotte, the construction cost was within the budget of $850,000 and the building was built in just over nine and one half months.
