Accuma Corporation needed additional corporate office space and had two choices: continue to expand within the existing metal building that housed the manufacturing facilities or build a very visible freestanding office building at the front of the site. The latter choice allowed the company to build exactly to their programmed needs and to achieve a unique corporate image on a highly traveled highway on the outskirts of Statesville.
Clary Architects, Inc. was selected by Edison Foard, Inc., General Contractor, to serve as the project's design resource and we worked closely with Accuma Corporation and the contractor, our client, through the programming process to assure accurate compliance with Accuma's needs.
The scope of the project was 10,800 square feet and the final construction cost was $800,000.
